The first Rocky is the best.
I forgot When I Was Your Age as well. Great song.
Favorite Deep Cuts?
I would love to hear Al's thoughts on every single one of his songs, since he's one of the few artists of whom I actually know all their songs.
Barton Fink Sequel?

Sounds like a ringing endorsement to me!

Next summer? But I might be dead by then.
I don't really disagree with what you are saying, I just feel that it wasn't that much of a detriment to my enjoyment of the film as a whole. In fact, it's the kind of thing I even really notice until after I read your review, probably because those flashback scenes were beautifully animated. If anything, I thought…
Well of course Po is going to defeat Shen no matter what. This is a cartoon, I don't think there's any doubt that the good guy is going to win. It works within the film though because even though it is foretold, the characters still are given reasonable doubt. It's no different from the first film; Po is told he is…
I guess it's not so much that he's 'dumb', but he is rather child-like. It is clear to the audience what has happened, but that's because we are film-savvy and can figure this shit out easily. This 'mystery' is hardly the central focus of the film either, and I'm honestly surprised it bothered Tasha so much.
Eh
Just more of the same but with a monkey.
Wrong
Watched the first film yesterday and this one this morning, and I felt like it was just as entertaining. It's not as if Shen killing Po's parents is a twist; Po as a character just isn't all that smart, so he doesn't put things together until late in the game. There is no movie otherwise. This one was much more…
You Forgot to Mention
That overseas, Pirates broke the record for highest opening gross ever. So yeah, while domestic was disappointing, the worldwide total surely won't be.
The Thing Is
I KNOW that I hate all these guys, and that goes for the full inventory. I'm surprised that it's almost entirely comedy directors though; surely there are plenty of middling dramatic directors out there too.
I'm also a failure…

In otherwords, I'm the Firstborn.
Marvel probably had a pretty wild day. They have got to be pretty nervous about the huge competition to Thor this week, but they must be psyched because now Captain America is probably going to do amazing business.
