I was going to come here and also lament the lack of Timecop discussion, but McGill has had such a great career it's understandable how it never came up. He's in that club with Brian Cox where he pops up in a film briefly, totally owns it and heads home.

I did the same. The director's cut is a great example of showing by contrast the results of catering to an actor's ego (even though Gibson is an accomplished director himself) and showing how studios apply too many safe formulas when trying to figure what will bring the audience.
