yeah, FNL had a way with finales. the show maybe wasn't perfect about plotting, but it always knew how to keep track of its emotional core, which I think is why it lands all its endings so beautifully

knowing she was going to hurt him and "being okay with it" or acting ruthlessly are not the same things. she was as much desperate as she was calculating, and her regret is really clear at the end of that scene.

well, certainly best in the DC area, to my mind. I'll defer to the lady's opinion on the broader question as she's probably had a bit more experience
