I agree. I've never understood the one chord jam band aspect of post-rock either. Music For Egon Schiele is excellent though, and I think this is as good a time as any to deepen my appreciation for Rachel's.

Eno said he had to stop listening to it in case it 'lost its power', and I'm starting to feel similar.

I remember when I was a teenager it was far easier to regard The Velvet Underground as 'mine' than a band like The Beatles who were a) everywhere and b) everyone's. It's a lot easier to take

La Dolce Vita sits at a point just before his obsession with burlesque and carnival becomes intolerable for me. I saw I Vitelloni the other day and found even in that the costume party goes on too damn long.

I've never understood why people consistently choose La Regle de Jeu over La Grande Illusion either. The latter is a far better film.
