I think a laugh track can only help this. You've got to push the ridiculousness as far as it will go. It should be a 3 camera show filmed in front of a live audience.

I think the C+ / B- grade on a "fun" movie is a good indicator that it has laughs but has no merits beyond laughs. I think for a comedy to do really well, you have to imagine people wanting to watch it years from now. This looks pretty fun but disposable to me. C+ is pretty much right on.
