Anything about those early Seattle scene days is usually awesome, and the members of Mudhoney having been right in the thick of things with Green River and Mother Love Bone makes their story interesting. And then having the perspective of them being the band that never quite "made it" to the degree that their peers

Oh yeah even though I can already picture the montage, I'm definitely down with checking out this doc. I'm having happy little visions of this in a cheap DVD double pack with American Hardcore.

I feel like even though the movie hasn't been made yet, I can already see the opening credits sequence: a montage of stills and video from the 80s in black and white, intercut with Reagan-era stock footage, the Hinckley assassination attempt, and generic shots of combat boots and mosh pits, all set to "Banned in D.C."

Trade off: DeNiro wouldn't quite have pulled off that grandfatherly nice guy thing in the scene where Leo shows up at his house at night, but the scene where him & Wahlberg encounter Jack Nicholson would have seemed more important and probably had some dialogue added to turn it into a "Heat moment" like DeNiro and

I actually thought he played Louis Gara really well in that, in a nice understated way. He probably played someone stoned better than a lot of people in Hollywood, because rather than ham it up with a Cheech & Chong routine he seemed really realistic: sluggish, slow on the uptake, and a little quiet. Really, his

I'd love to get some of the old collections available on the Kindle Fire. I know that that doesn't seem very indie but it makes things easier for us out in the sticks to enjoy some L&R.
