I'd love to get some of the old collections available on the Kindle Fire. I know that that doesn't seem very indie but it makes things easier for us out in the sticks to enjoy some L&R.

The Other F Word was pretty dull, all told. Although I wouldn't call it so much a movie about pop-punk bands: they feature Duane Peters from US Bombs, Lars Fredriksen from Rancid, Fat Mike from NOFX, Jim Lindberg formerly of Pennywise. Not exactly all hardcore but not Jimmy Eat World either. Really the whole thing was

"Why I Don't Believe in God", "Nehalem", an old B-side called "Happy Hour", and even "I Will Buy You a New Life" are all better songs than "Father of Mine", IMO, although "Father of Mine" isn't bad.

But then Ken smashed it.

The problem was, it got shuffled between a bunch of different production people and writers, so the third disc is sort of a mess. It could have really been two games: one involving the rise and fall of a cop and his dealings with the mob and a twisted plot involving a movie studio, and then a quickie sequel involving

It seems like this show knew they knocked it out of the park with "John the Revelator" in the first season and then figured "eh, we can just have covers of whatever's on the classic rock station" for all the rest.

I'm pretty sure the thing about him being a possibility to play Little John in Robin Hood: Men in Tights has to be true, because otherwise it's an incredibly weird thing to brag about.

Randy the Ram would never get noticed in an airport, right?

I'm gonna have to get ahold of this. Not long ago I went on a mini-quest on Spotify to figure out which female comic is truly my favorite. Tig's "Good One" didn't necessarily put her at the top of the running, but from the sound of it this one might edge her over the top.

There was a long period where Rancid were my favorite band in the world but at this point they've just completely rusted. Anything between the self-titleds was awesome, and Indestructible isn't even terrible, but Let The Dominoes Fall was wretched. Regardless, I've already bought a few of these albums twice (cassette
