Due to mass disqualifications across the board, this year’s winner in all categories is...The Emoji Movie!

definitely with you on the Archie going to tell Jug everything but changed his mind

Alice Cooper got that awesome slow-mo walk for two reasons. One, it was her response to her image falling apart with the mugshot. Two, the creators of Riverdale know how lucky they are to have Mädchen Amick, so this was a literal showcase to how hot and awesome she is.

Betty: “I want this to look natural, like we normally walk to school.”

*Betty scans the block, swiveling her head around, looking suspicious AF*

I would argue the show hasn’t shown us what the actual “south side” looks like beyond the serpents. One of the threads that I wish Arrow hadn’t abandoned was the focus on the Glades, the poor part of town. Riverdale needs to introduce non-Serpent south siders.

The show really needs to better incorporate the Pussycats. They are all cyphers, and there’s no excuse for that this far into the show.

Alice in that sexy red dress telling her husband to “shove it.” That’s how you make a fucking entrance. Though, I would’ve chosen something other than that terrible Imagine Dragons song.

Considering Archie’s dumb luck he probably would get the Black Hood this way.

Betty: “We live next door to one another, so there’s nothing strange about you walking me to school. Even if he’s watching us.”

I adore the fact that Alice Cooper is buying “Reputation” merchandise to make a statement. Look what you made her do, indeed. Mädchen Amick has never been better.

I mean, I can see the other side. I’m one of those people who just cannot see myself handling all the issues of child rearing. Just looking after someone else’s kids for an evening or so can be stressful. I like kids, I get along with them, but... no.

I disagree, to an extent. That was what the flashback at the start was about, right? Showing that this cult leaders first memory isn’t of Supergirl saving people, but a flying Kara Danvers. Of course he’s going to see through her disguise as he’s already seen her without it.

This was a lot more somber than the show usually goes for but I rather liked it. I think this tone - at least every once in a while - is an interesting fit for the series. And I enjoyed having a “villain” that wasn’t some crazy powered person that was just destroying parts of the city for selfish gain.

I loved all the Rao stuff in this episode. Consistently the show has showed that Kara adheres to the traditional Kryptonian religion and referenced him, but left us wondering what that meant, in terms of Kara’s personal religiosity. Loved her spelling it out in this episode, and expressing outrage at the guy for

No, the show’s appeal is definitely rooted in authenticity, Larry’s authentic behaviour (vs phonies around him), the authentic improvisationality of the conversations, and his authentic Richie Rich status. He’s supposed to be (playing) a slightly exaggerated version of himself, and definitely not an alternate reality,

Maggie’s final speech was a hell of a gut-punch, and the fact they didn’t wrap the story up in a neat little bow with a happy ending made me like this show even more.

“...at least your wedding day isn’t completely ruined.”
Haha like that won’t happen anyway.

and I thought her backstory got a major boost and explained a lot about why she acts the way she does (Daddy) and why she’s a cop (Daddy)

Yeah but Maggie’s story about her dad dropping her off at her aunt’s house on the side of the road was just as heartbreaking as watching Hank/J’onnz mind meld flashback

At this stage, it’s comfort food. It’s an old friend. It’s a used car that doesn’t quite run like it used to, but it starts reliably and is fine for trips around town. As long as they don’t do something stupid like have Larry David turn into a serial killer who kills those he currently gets into petty feuds with, I’m
