I hadn't noticed that, that's too bad. And then at that point you start to get into the debate about presenting a film The Way It Was Originally Presented vs. The Way The Director Wants It To Be Seen Now. I do respect Scott for releasing all versions of the film instead of just opting for option #2 (aka the George

This sort of reminds me of the debate about comics reprints (that debate being: reprint in the highest possible and cleaned up quality or preserve to some degree the yellowing of the paper and unintentional printing errors.)

That's kind of how I feel about Jim Lee, too. I mean, if you want someone to draw big ridiculous superhero fight scenes then Jim Lee is your guy. Geoff Johns, on the other hand, is a complete hack.

Flashpoint was shitty and confusing. There was about 3 pages of story in the whole thing and the rest was filler and boring exposition.

Wydening Gyre is indeed shit. I remember Comics Alliance made fun of it pretty bad and all the Kevin Smith fanboys flooded to the comments to defend it. It's hacky, shitty fan fiction. And Onomatopoeia has got to be one of the dumbest supervillians created in a long time.

I had the same thought as well. I haven't even got around to reading the newest FF yet because I know it's all going to be dry and confusing exposition about the Kree and what have you.

I finished in 31 hours being fairly (but not obsessively) extensive.

I don't know if it was all due to trying to make it console friendly (I would totally believe that), but I also thought I remember hearing Warren Spector saying that they were intentionally simplifying Invisible War compared to Deus Ex. Because, you know, everyone hated Deus Ex for it's complexity…

Mono…
but by Lifter Puller!

Yeah, I could have totally got on board with bosses if they kept the "3 Ways To Play" alive.

[SPOILERS]

Oh man, I love Peter Watkins. He's got to be one of the most under rated filmmakers of all time.

Wait, are people actually suggesting that "Satanists" are a group of people who go around sacrificing children and the such? Really? In the year 2011? Really?

I'll admit to finding the ridiculous shit joke in Not Another Teen Movie pretty funny when I first saw it.

Sweet Tooth
is the best currently ongoing series. Can't wait for more work from him.

I've heard Lemiere say that his work on Animal Man was more influenced by Jamie Delano's work on the character, which in my opinion was actually better than Morrison's take. Sadly, Delano's Animal Man run has never been collected into trades.

"Jack without Stan certainly created Captain America… and Stan without Jack created Spider-Man.

"What Kirby did without Stan Lee, you'd have to stretch a bit to say that's on par with Stan Lee without Kirby, but not *that* far."

I'm not sure if Stan Lee stealing all the credit is really the issue anymore. The bigger concern, at this point, is Marvel giving due credit and due compensation.

As far as the Stan Lee vs. Jack Kirby/Steve Ditko debate, I really find it perplexing. When I think about the glory of Marvel's Silver Age comics, I remember the imagery! I don't remember Stan Lee's word balloons at all. Lee's gift was in the conception of characters and the resulting three dimensional
