Yeah, Jack Kirby is such an asshole…
Yeah, Jack Kirby is such an asshole…
That should be, "shitting all over its best creators." I'll point it out myself before the Internet police arrive.
He was working on Dodgem Logic for a while but that's on hiatus now (after 6 issues I believe it was.) I know he was working on that spoken word album thing (I believe it was called Unearthed or something like that) a while back and I think he might be doing another project like that soon.
Yeah, I just read Morrison's and Joss Whedon's X-men runs over the weekend. As good as Joss Whedon's writing was (the characterizations were sharp and the dialogue was very nice when not being overloaded with quips) Grant Morrion brought an inventiveness and creativity to the X-Men that was really wonderful to read.
Ah, I stand corrected. I have Amazon Prime too but I've never bothered to wade into their streaming options.
If you have Amazon Prime you can watch all of Amazon's streaming videos for free. Amazon Prime costs 80 dollars a year which would come out to about 6 or 7 bucks a month.
1 Disc Unlimited from Netflix would cost you 7.99 and the equivalent plan from Blockbuster costs 11.99, so Netflix is still cheaper. I guess if you want new Releases and videogames then Blockbuster might be worth the extra 4 bucks a month.
Serious Question
Does anyone know of a really good comic book podcast? I've tried quite a few and they all consisted of 3-4 friends sitting around, shooting the shit and laughing at their own jokes. I'd really like to find something on the level of Filmspotting but for Comic Books but I'm starting to become convinced…
I'll get it started for this week…
Adam Carolla sucks.
You are correct, henderburn, that taxes in America are at their lowest point in decades, especially for the wealthy. The Taxed Enough Already crowd are both A) misinformed and B) whiners.
I had heard that Marvel had specifically NOT acquired the rights to the Alan Moore/Neil Gaiman versions of the character and had just bought the Golden/Silver Age rights. And Wikipedia also says this:
Miracleman!
Would be curious to see someone ask Neil for an update on this…
What I always find bizarre in these shitstorms is the legion of people (many of them straight white men, I can safely assume) who seemingly become enraged at the thought of someone else being offended. We're all human beings and we have feelings, and sometimes people say things that hurt or offend us and it's not…
Probably one of the only human beings on the planet who would admit this, but I actually liked Scoop.
I think somone actually wrote out a play called The King in Yellow that's supposed to be what the fictional play from the story would be. I don't think it's driven anyone insane, though.
Oh wow, I've always wanted to feel like a warm spring! Unfortunately I don't have PYAP AL, whatever that is…
My NES and SNES have started to shit out recently and I'm thinking of buying one of those Retro Duo thingies. It feels like cheating, though.
The Thin Red Line rules! One of my all time favorite films. I can understand why others don't care for it, since the plot is loosely put together, there are a boat load of characters (literally) and Malick frequently indulges in poetic asides that don't advance the story but are pretty and insightful.
Hey Stan, do you cry everday because Jack Kirby is dead and you can't steal ideas and credit from him anymore?
In reading through this and thinking more on it, it just seems like it comes down to 2 different groups of people with 2 pretty different tastes.
