The worst local band name that I have personally encountered was Twisted Dick Theater. Or maybe they spelled it "Theatre".

I can remember hearing "Ordinary World" and "Come Undone" on the radio and being young enough (about 13) to somehow think Duran Duran were some brand new band. There was a camp ground somewhere out there that had "Come Undone" on the game room jukebox, and that was one of the only songs on there I liked, so I…

I've been kind of into that album lately - there are some top-tier tracks in there and I sort of like how it's more "lo-fi" compared to Last Splash. I saw The Breeders live a few years ago and there actually were a few Amps songs in their set - I specifically remember "Pacer" and "Hoverin".

@avclub-11bcd3c1d43688891ed23f5677a174ea:disqus : To be fair, the Singles soundtrack wasn't entirely grunge either - there was Jimi Hendrix, Paul Westerberg, and even a Led Zeppelin cover by the Wilson sisters from Heart in there.

I'm sure there were very few rock bands that were popular in the early 90's who didn't have a feud with Axl. But the Nirvana one had something to do with a confrontation between Axl and Kurt Cobain at an MTV awards show. There's a sorta famous performance of "Lithium" at said awards show where Krist Novaselic steps up…

Am I alone in thinking Katy Perry sounds more like she's singing "and what a wank"? Get your Fred Willard-based parody lyrics in while they're still relevant…

I assume it'd be a Gateway on Bob Mould in general or something - between Husker Du, Sugar and solo stuff there'd be much more to cover.

Well, yeah, because that van attracts the ladies in droves.

If you're talking about the "yeah yeah yeah yeah, whoa whoa whoa whoa" bit being similar, that part actually made me expect "…my love does it good!" instead.

I thought the No Doubt track was going into some next level Captain Beefheart shit for the last minute or so - then I realized I'd somehow accidentally opened a second tab to the same page, and thus it was autoplaying over itself.
