I saw this movie at Sundance and it was dare I say, charming as hell. Despite the main character being a con-man, Jack Black plays him as almost naive and sweet. Pretty similar to his character in Bernie.

My parents rented Toxic Avenger I and II for me when I was only a small child (based knowing the cartoon). It was my first experience seeing nudity and disgusting violence and I remember being deeply disturbed and turning it off after a scene where hooligans run over a little kids head(?). It was not a good movie for

I like HACF but when my wife and I watched the pilot, she (correctly) noted that Cameron is just Watts from "Some kind of wonderful" and now that's pretty much all I associate her with. Watts!

I've always wanted a telecaster just like that. Every time I see that scene I just stare at the guitar.

I'm 30 and my wife is 22. It's totally not an issue until I start thinking about how she was only 10 when I was 18.

He was the streetwise player from LA who mastered the elusive "knuckle puck." (Which is not a thing, no matter how many times my friends and I tried to replicate it.)

Seriously, I am so embarrassed that I owned an Ataris record when I was in high school. I recently looked them up on Spotify and I literally laughed when I heard some of those songs again. Terrible.

Preston is just barely over the border from Utah. I went to school at Utah Sate which is only about 20 miles south of Preston.

This was great. I love seeing guitarists talk shop like this.

I saw this at Sundance, and while it's no masterpiece I think it's quite a bit better than this review indicates. Portions of it definitely get too wacky, but it's funny and the cinematography was unexpectedly great (I described it to my friends as Terrence Malick meets a kinder Superbad).

This is the book I had as a child. I was already afraid of the ocean, and reading about a million terrible ways to die at the bottom of the sea did not help the situation.

I heard "slit skirts" for the first time the other day. It was awful, and coming from pete townshend it was also creepy.

"We are the champions" was more Weezer-inspired than this record.

Now I don't want to say that kiss was hot, but if the boner police are here, I want a lawyer!

As far as I remember, they live in the grass kingdom so I'm thinking that PB was just being her adorable slightly amoral self.

How dare you. Stepbrothers is a great, ridiculous comedy. "THIS IS A HOUSE OF LEARNED DOCTORS!"
