Real characters are assets from wherever I could find them, my Mormons I drew myself, and the background from the game are just 1080p screenshots which I then photoshopped out any characters who were on the screen in game :).

A friend sent me a link to this article :)
Aww, thanks guys! Any other questions about it, feel free to ask!
Yup, that's exactly what I did. I went further than I needed to really, but every character in the whole piece has movable arms, legs, pupils, blinking eyes etc, even though some of them don't move. I like to be thorough! The only character I couldn't find a nice high-res image of was Jesus, so I had to remake him.
You're in luck! I made it all with After Effects. It's not TOO deep a talk through but check the 'about' part on here https://www.youtube.com/wat… I wrote a little explaining how I made it.
I'd agree on that point. The amount of movement compared to your regular South Park character was intentional. They move a lot more because I aimed for it to be as theatrical as possible. Exaggerated movements and so on!
Would you mind me asking what about the Mormon characters that you think looks off? Just curious to know for feedback :)
