It would have been okay if they had explained "why", actually. Which the show didn't even try to set up. They could have shown Merlyn warping Thea during the six months or so. I still find the "whodunit" resolution shitty. I'm pretty sure the writers didn't know who would be the culprit when they wrote Sara's death in

I actually like the fact that she turns into "Black Canary" or embraces it because everyone thinks Oliver's dead and Team Arrow needs all the help it can get. That's the only way I can accept her being dragged into all of this without rolling my eyes and sighing in despair.

If they give him something other than a gangster balaclava to do all that, I'm all for it. Burn, gangster balaclava, burn.

She doesn't really do it to talk to people though. She pings the phones of criminals so she can help stop them. It's not like she pings Oliver's phone so she can watch him on the Salmon Ladd… Oohhh…

1. That they've been keeping it from him,
2. That literally EVERYONE else knows about it and is okay with keeping it from him
3. That, technically, the other (half)-Queen killed his daughter (again). That sure won't be awkward.

The fight lasted 30 seconds. It literally was just a teaser. :(

Yeah, when he was… um… pierced, let's say, I immediately thought "hold on, is it the left side? Is it the heart?". Nope! Lung. You can survive a lung puncture, in TV world. Long enough to get dragged to a magical pit of magic.

My favorite was Diggle's delivery of "Oliver, you are the smartest man I know". He didn't even laugh out loud! And then I remembered that the other guy he hangs out with is Roy.

I would so love a little "How was your day?" convo where both siblings obviously lie to each other and make up stories about "work".

Okay, weekly rant: so Laurel (reluctantly) tells her mom, then begs her to lie to her dad? And her mom's okay with that when she pressured Laurel into telling her? Fuck you, Lance-women-that-aren't-Sara. That's a new layer of stupid. I hope Papa Lance flips them off when they tell him and replies that he's known all

In my world, Oliver brought Sara's body with him to his fight.

Actually, Merlyn controlling Thea bothered me. It's contrived. Ra knows Merlyn and what he's capable of. He wouldn't be surprised that he manipulated his daughter to get out of his debt. Maybe telling Ra that he's playing in Merlyn's hands would annoy him and spare Thea (and Oliver)'s lives.

So… that Lazarus Pit thingy's gonna come in handy, heh?

… So I guess what you're saying is "let's wait and see, it shall be made clearer by the end of the season. Or not"?

Fair points, and okay. But why would he need The Flash anyway if they're enemies? Or are they not enemies and Wells is just batshit crazy and absolutely wanted The Flash to exist even if he already has the same (better) powers?

Yes, I was really impressed by Gustin and Panabacker's acting (I mean more than usual. I'm baffled by Gustin since the beginning of this show). The way they were crying was really moving and believable which is not easy to pull off.

I'm just glad that we sort of know for sure that Wells is definitely shady and a bad guy. I'm just confused about why the heck he wants to maintain the future so bad (and why he'd go back in time to kill Nora Allen?). If The Flash is his enemy and his inferior, why turn him into a hero?

But then, there wouldn't be any cop on the planet, and no one who join the army. Joe is entitled to have an opinion but if both Barry and Iris were serious and really wanted to pursue something, even the fact that Joe disapproves shouldn't be an issue. Also, just because his reasoning isn't reasonable (and completely

… sure. But the topic was never brought up between Barry and Joe. And Barry never mentioned wanting to be an actual cop. But it would be just as infuriating if both his children couldn't be cops because their cop-daddy forbade it.

Well, he got the girl twice, though. He got Laurel in season 1 when he contemplated giving up the hood, and he got Sara until she basically figured out he was in love with Felicity (I interpreted her "you have light" speech that way, but maybe I read too much fanfictions). And he made out with Felicity in a weird
