Thanks!

What are you complaining about?  "Kiss The Floor" is one of the best summertime Whigs songs around!  As for Tango Saloon, it's like the sad trombone of shuffle.  I think it might be time to say that one's never clicking with me.

Liked for "No, You Don't".  My shuffle played "Where Is Everybody" today and it was so welcome.

Where's a good place to start with Baroness?  They've been on my radar for a while, but I keep forgetting to try them out on Spotify.

Maybe it's because of that time I erased everything off it and started again?  Mine's scared I can do that to it whenever I want.  You need to make sure your ipod knows you're the boss of it!

I took the architecture tour twice when I was a kid and it's still one of my favorite travel memories.  Good stuff!

1. Tomahawk "Oddfellows"
2.  Mark Lanegan & Duke Garwood "Black Pudding"
3.  Buke & Gase "General Dome"
4.  Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds "Push the Sky Away"
5.  Melvins "Everybody Loves Sausages"
6.  Lilacs & Champagne "Danish & Blue"
7.  robotmonkeyarm "robotmonkeyarm"
8.  Slobber Pup "Black Aces"
9.  Pillowfight "Pillowfight"

Mark Lanegan “Together Again”
I said last week that someday I’d get a shuffle without Lanegan.  My ipod is all “NEVER!” And I’m all, “Keep it coming!”
Mike Patton “Family Trees” (Place Beyond the Pines OST)
Buke & Gase “Revel in Contempt”
Guano Padano “Jack Frost”

The breaking glass in Wet Hot American Summer.

The lack of a giant ipod makes me apoplectic.  We all know at this point that it's not hard for Apple to make one with lots of storage.  Those of us with big music collections would happily pay extra for it.  GRRR!   HUGS AND HISSES SMASH PUNY IPODS!

They ended up being able to cobble the things back together enough to put on the show but it was still mortifying.  As for the crowbar thingie, I have no idea why I ended up carrying it since it was about twice as tall as I am.  I should blame the tallest guy on the crew for it all since he should have been the one

Who the hell is Marcus?

I worked on the stage crew of a repertory opera company for a summer after high school.  One of the operas had a scene where the chorus carried around what were essentially 3-foot-tall light-up dollhouses on long poles.  The props department made a special rack for the poles because they were so top heavy.  Well, by

How exciting!  Congratulations!

Quinoa black bean burger and polenta fries?!  I'm coming over for lunch!

My favorite meal in terms of "meals you can recreate" is wintertime spaghetti and meatballs.  It's such a great comfort meal on it's own, but there's something especially fabulous about eating pasta with tomato sauce made from the tomatoes I grew in the summertime.  It's fun to reflect on how much happened between

I love that you have Joni Mitchell and Ice-T back-to-back.

Dillinger Escape Plan w/ Mike Patton "Hollywood Squares"
House of Hayduk "S"
Wires Under Tension "Electricity Turns Them On"
General Patton and the X-Ecutioners "Vaqueros Y Indios!"
Daughters "The Fuck Whisperer"

My first real genuine "get off my lawn, kids" moment came when I realized I couldn't handle the fancy newer ticker on EPSN.  When I was a kid, the ticker had scores, and major headlines on it.  Nothing more, nothing less.  Now?  It's all stats minutiae and what athletes are twittering and program listings.  I realize

A colleague of mine asked for viewing recommendations about six years ago.  I knew she hadn't seen "The Wire" but didn't think I'd be able to convince her to watch it if she knew what it was about.  So I started waxing poetic about how it was like Dostoyevsky for the TV crowd and all that crap.  I could see she wasn't
