He's also been promising another Mondo Cane record for years and since it's all already recorded, I keep believing him.  And yet, every year passes without Mondo Cane 2: Electric Bungleoo.  ::sobs::

@Patrick_Batman:disqus Thanks!  I just hit it up on Spotify and am now even more intrigued.

I adore that Bootleggers/Emmylou Harris song!   I keep forgetting it's on my ipod so every time I stumble on it again, it's like finding a hidden gem.

I once did that with Nine Inch Nails vs. Tori Amos and it worked shockingly well.  Almost scarily well.

Big Biz!  Woo!!  I wonder when their new album will be released.  It won't be a moment too soon.

I can't wait to hear the new QOTSA song with Lanegan on it!

Kaada "All The Things That Grow Old And Pass Away"
Young Gods "Our House"

It's a terrific week for new music what with new Melvins and new Ceramic Dog (Marc Ribot & Co.)!

I haven't come up with a cure for the impatience.  The worst is when the tomato flowers come in.  It takes forever for them to turn into tomatoes!  No matter how hard I stare at them, willing them to grow, grow, grow, dammit!

You have my deepest sympathies.  About a month after starting my job as a librarian an "out of order" sign was put on one of the highest-demand computers.  It was there for a few days, and the customers were starting to get uppity.  My new co-workers were all old-school library types and they assured me that someone

I was talking to my boss a few days ago about that thing where Japanese kids break watermelons to celebrate summer vacation.  She said, "I would never think about watermelons being popular in Japan!"  I was going to respond like a know-it-all, talking all about Japan and watermelons, but I realized at the last second

Hooray for growing veggies!  I've been a veggie gardener for seven years now and the two lessons I've learned are:
