Tyler Perry is way better than Spike Lee. It's not like Spike has "hit" "sitcoms" on TBS or the "balls" to dress in drag and parade around in nationally released movies. All that Spike Lee has is several Academy Award nominations, social relevance and his dignity in tact. Oh yeah, and courtside seats for the Knicks.
