He always came off as pretty sincere and down to earth.  He was pretty old when 'Sports' dropped so he had a good idea of how to handle fame.

Yeah, I get it.  We are supposed to judge movies on their own terms now.  It has been taken too far.  Everything is mediocre now.  Remember that Star Trek movie that everyone said was actually pretty good?  It sucked.  It was superficial, cliche, poorly acted, episodic crap.  I reassert my right to be pretentious.  I

I just watched Red Beard by Kurosawa.  Kurosawa had them build an entire 19th century town and required the set designers to use aged wood of the type utilized during that time period.  With this attention to detail, the set itself influenced the entire production, drawing the actors into this other time and place and

I remember you….

I have never been much of a weightlifter but I used to do it about once a week in order to maintain my wiry strength.  I then stopped for a year.  Last week, I went to the YMCA with my sister and niece and decided to kill time by lifting weights.  I immediately regained my 'farmer-strong' physique!  I was starting to

"If a guy won't tell you where he lives … look out!"

Yeah, I was wondering why a totally innocuous hobby would be some kind of deal breaker.

Yeah, I agree with this.  I really miss the day in age when well-meaning idiots were tolerated.  This country has sucked since 1994.

This is right on.  I was born in '83 so it was a constant presence in my life since I was 4 years old.  I grew into the jokes as I got older (You're right, no human would stack books that way.).

I bet Ernest Goes to Camp is still watchable.  I remember thinking it was superior to all of the other's, even at the age of 8.

Yes, and maybe "keep aryan blood pure" is what they meant by ahhh …. ahh , what's their other song?  I can hum it for you.  It has all those loud snare hits and the beeping …. damn.

I understand the dilemma but, hypothetically speaking, let's say that her brother was killed in a car crash and she did not veer into this racist worldview.  You go back to her place and point out her brother and she begins weeping uncontrollably.  She calms down a bit

Nothing like a freakin' meeting to drive home just how much people like the sound of their own voices.

Chicago / Brooklyn are tied up.  What do you guys think?  I have the Bulls in 7 but I'm starting to lean towards 6 (I am a Bulls fan and a bit of a homer).
Also, STEPH CURRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've been really getting into tungsten lately.  It's like, "You can't melt that stuff man. You can try, but you can't melt it".

No, it was M.A.D.D., strangely enough.

Needs more parentheses.

Hey gang,
does anybody have any hat shops that they would recommend?  I like a wide-brimmed hat (I am in Texas) but I think that Fedoras are a bit overdone.  The only hat shops that I can find nearby are Goorin Brothers, but I find that their hats are somewhat cheap and I do not like many of their styles.

Very good suggestions guys. One more question.

Hi @avclub-b31378bbfb701dc33efdb269aa01e844:disqus .  I guess my point is that there is a contrast between people's attitudes towards regular wardrobe and that of suit buying.  With my regular wardrobe, I have my taste and I know where to go to buy clothing in keeping with that taste.  With suits, the market seems to
