I liked most of this episode, especially the random stuff, but for some reason the only laugh out loud moment for me is when the box of clown cardigans tumbled in slow motion and hit the deck with a honking noise.

I've never heard the expression but my guess is that "starred" refers to omens.  Ill Omens.  Hmmm… which Omen was the one they should have skipped?

Hate it or not, I learned that I CANNOT watch Godfather III after I and II.  My wife and I did a marathon and 10 minutes into #3 I was saying: "I'm going to go read or something."

I understand and support Jackson cutting it… but I feel the books would be just a bit more boring without that weird weird encounter between furry-footed little people and a yellow booted forest hippie.  It's like fucking Santa suddenly appearing in Narnia to me. Something so awesomely strange and off beat I can't…

My bias is that by the time Muppet Treasure Island came out … I was in my mid-20's and considered it "not muppet canon" (I appreciate them on a deeper…blah blah). I also considered it (and having seen it again with my kids) bloody awful!!!

Robert Newton is literally the mold for this character. That film is also, incidentally, the best one available and it still holds up.
