So Seth Meyers is officially taking over Late Night. Who do you think will take over the Weekend Update spot? I'm hoping it's John Mulaney and that's why they passed over his show.

Mulaney deserves to be on network television. This sounded like it would've been 30 Rock for the masses. Hopefully he's in contention for the Late Night job and Seth Meyers just….doesn't do that.

NBC didn't pick up Mulaney saving me the heartbreak of canceling it later.

Both are still in contention with NBC having to decide whether they want to cancel every sitcom that isn't Parks and Rec or not. I think it still has a good chance because Lorne Michaels obviously has a lot of sway.

I really hope Mulaney gets picked up. One of the most talented comedians working today and if anyone could do an interesting multi can it would be him.

-The constitution of the AV Club

I was able to catch last week's Happy Endings(s) on hulu before they disappeared. First one was alright, a solid B. Heavy on the Corddry which I feel ambivalent about (on this show, not in general). Second one had a Max plot that was very very funny, an A- for me. So another B+ hour.

and IFC. A lot of healthy competition has been great for TV fans.

I haven't watched today's two episodes of Burning Love yet (I watch them with my girlfriend). But how fucking amazing is that show? So consistently hilarious. The Michael Cera EpiPen thing had me laughing until my stomach hurt. Black killed it yesterday with that extended bit about the dog dying too.

This is great news. So far this year my top two shows have been Enlightened and then Nathan for You. I needed this victory. Nathan for You brings me and everyone I show it so much joy.

Goodbye, guys. I look forward to the new project. Who will do the Simpsons Classics now?

This show is incredibly funny. If it gets a second season, I'd love to see it covered.

Yeah I don't watch that either.

Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell sounds awful. A really tired one-joke premise, what's hard to explain about that?

Thank you for all these! Have fun Scott!

His website is suddenly down. Does anyone know where I can find the now complete list of his Great Movies?

I was there for the taping of that. It made me so happy

Paul F. Tompkins all the way. Hilarious at riffing and characters and interviews

Part of the fun for me is just always assuming that the people are real in an Ali G way. I believe he's said as much in interviews. Assuming that, the gas station bit had my friend and I crying in laughter. Especially the ending where the gas station owner talked about drinking urine.

Nathan for You is the funniest show on TV right now. Big belly laughs every time. Check out the episode "Gas Station/Caricature Artist" for a great gateway.
