Yeah the stuff about his father would be interesting with or without knowing his music.

Ugh, all the S3 talk especially the ending talking about beyond S3 is such a stab in the heart. This is one of the biggest mistakes HBO has ever made, up there with Deadwood. In the weeks leading up to cancellation, I was just hoping for a six episode wrap-up which I assume was on the table. But of course Mike White…
Great interview! Great show! The world is awful!
Okay, my friend and I just watched last night's episode of Nathan for You and we were both literally crying of laughter. That's easily became one of my favorite new shows.
Racism and classism is inextricably linked though and there's no easy divide when discussing either.
Michael Cera does have really great timing. I only saw a handful of scenes near the end of the movie, but I remember him trying to flirt with Juno Temple getting a couple chuckles.
but we can all agree that Even Cowgirls Get the Blues is one of the worst movies ever right?
I haven't seen it since it's release but I remember really liking it.
There's some really great stuff. I fondly remember Chase's rambling to Anthony Michael Hall but whenever it's mentioned, the first thing I think of is that undeniably racist stop in the ghetto to ask for directions gag and it makes me think negatively of the whole movie. I always attribute that ill will towards Hughes…
I noticed that hours before the announcement. It was ominous. I guess he doesn't want to hear everyone tweet at him how sorry they are.
The Abbaddon story would've continued. S3 would've been about the lawsuit the company would press on Amy.
I haven't felt this visceral of a reaction to a show getting cancelled before its time since Arrested Development and I think this is actually worse. This show made me feel so many different feelings; empathy, disgust, melancholy; often within the same scene. I honestly thought it needed one more season for Amy to…
I loved the John Darnielle episode and I am no Mountain Goats superfan.
Agreed on the points of where a season 3 would go! Please please please HBO!
1. Amour
2. Silver Linings Playbook
3. Lincoln
4. Django Unchained
5. The Queen of Versailles
6. The Master
7. The Cabin in the Woods
8. Entrance
What's everyone's picks for Best and Worst Films nominated?
O my god. Since "Consider Helen", this show has been my #4 currently airing (behind Mad Men, Breaking Bad, and Parks and Recreation) but this episode skyrocketed to the top. This is truly the best show on TV. All of the big moments hit even harder based on the work of all the previous episodes. LOVED watching Amy read…
I don't know any other show where my opinion varies so greatly from scene to scene. It's such a frustrating show, but an essential one.
Ah man, I'm a huge Newsom fan and hearing the familiar strumming got my heart going immediately and by the time her vocals came in it was completely melted.
O yeah. He's a great actor. His comedic timing is ace (the cockblocking explanation in "Comrades Unite!") and made one of the most haunting scenes in his car in "Lonely Ghosts" when he somewhat angrily but mostly defeatedly declares, "Some people are more alone."
