Can you sue for Licensed to Ill and Paul's Boutique, considering that they were both made before modern sampling laws?

I was just thinking I saw him on Scrubs, but on the episode with the "West Side Story" bits. "We're supposed to be a team!" "Us? We'll be crushed."

See, I don't get that. I love Smith, but he really just doesn't have the balls to handle big actors. I think he gets too starstruck. You don't hear Tarantino bitching about working with Willis.

Willis is like Eastwood. He's not the world's greatest actor, but he's got an eye for a good script and he knows how to play to his own strengths. All of his characters are tough guys, but he works with directors like Tarantino, Gilliam, Besson and the like who are able to make that work to their advantage.

But didn't KRS-One once refer to Nelly as just another black dude singing "Mammy" for the white man? Wasn't some of that minstrel show imagery used to criticize Soulja Boy? Hell, Public Enemy wrote a couple of songs comparing the NBA to the slave trade.
