Aliens was notable for its trendy Tuscan hardware.

Can you sprinkle parmesian on the gooey orange cheese?

I want my $200 million scifi spectacle to tackle health care reform!

Right!  Matt Damon is probably dating like a 6 year old right now!  When he's 60 he'll marry a 20 year old.  It's written into the bylaws of Hollywood that women older than 30 are gross.

Are you feeling the struggles in your proletariat?

Don't forget Arnold.  He brings such subtle shading and texture to his roles.

Triumph had some pretty good songs, actually.  Lay It On the Line and Hold On are ones that come to mind.

It's not like you can dust for vomit.

Well la-di-da!  Lookie here!  Polar Bears likes to enjoy himself when he spends money on something!  Aren't WE fancy!

I won't say I loved Prometheus, but I liked it a lot.

I'm going to posit that the Total Recall remake was actually pretty decent.  It's a scifi spectacle.  For me it did exactly what I thought it would.  Not perfect by any means, but entertaining for sure.

@avclub-ca157d1a1382fd3eb266129b96bdba74:disqus :  You're going to make Michael Bay jealous!

Thank you, Scrawler.  That says a good bit of what I feel about District 9 much better than I could say it myself.

And the sequel The Hammock District should be really good.

I loved District 9.  I don't particularly care if the allegory was risible (Sure, it's obvious, but so what?  I'm not going to an action movie to be impressed by allegorical cleverness).  It was a very well done scifi story, which we don't get enough of, frankly.

The script needed to be more penetrating…it just laid there.

Let's pass around Kirk's mom for the homie that couldn't be here.

If only it worked that way, Tea.  I can show my kids The Iron Giant  all I want, but they'll still want to see Smurfs 2.

I wonder if they'll turn down the overt homo-eroticism in the next one.

Congratulatory and mocking…mom and dad, is that you?
