Nope, not justified.  Just part of the grand pattern:  get a little bit of information, react emotionally without understanding the issue then move on and never revisit whether you were right in the first place or not.

I live in rural New England and I've been to weddings where people were wearing tank tops.  Not funky, "casual" weddings, or in weird settings like at the beach - regular church weddings where about 2/3 of the crowd is dressed like adults for a wedding and the other third is in jeans, shorts, t-shirts, tank tops,…

But…but…but…shorts?  Do you mean just regular shorts?   I can't wear long pants when it's hot out.  What am I supposed to wear when I'm mowing the lawn - chinos and a cardigan?

I think so.  I understand that they're dealing with some really, really low-hanging fruit, but it's obvious that they just try to have fun and don't take themselves at all seriously, which is part of the fun of the whole show.

I agree about ES and Joe Strummer.  Both gems.

I'm ok with that, though.  I think I heard or read him say once that WW was a love letter to American politics…something like that.  He creates idealized situations, sure, but that doesn't mean it can't be compelling.
