@joaquinstick:disqus OMG, we totally need that Littlest Hobo reboot.

Definitely a fantastic book, though I did not read it until a few years ago.  Actually, was it even print before the recent Penguin edition?

Aww, man, "The Lottery"…  I came across it by happenstance when going through an old Norton Anthology of my mom's from when she had taken an English lit class in college (I want to say I was in like eighth grade at the time, because I think it was at about the same time I had to do a report on an author from Indiana,

Or maybe do an episode-long setup for some hideous beast they have to defeat and then reveal at the end that it's Animal from the Muppets.

Well, yes and no.  There was a fairy godmother, but he killed her and stole her powers.

I figured the library had been shut down since they discovered an evil witch dragon under it last season.  Of course, that leaves the question of who used to be the librarian, but I'll just assume it was someone random and unimportant who instead went back to living with his/her family and doesn't feel like dealing

Naw, he'll be Blacula.

Yeah, I think the allusion is definitely there, but they won't make it explicit because of the rights issues.

Speaking of rights, I was wondering if the inclusion of Captain Hook will give the show problems in the UK, where Peter Pan and associated characters are still under copyright.

I wouldn't say the movie doesn't make sense; it's still this crazy situation where a machine glitch tricks the US government into almost starting World War III.  Sure, there's some human involvement, but it's not like it totally changes the meaning of the movie.
