Yeah, even if it was planned, the Dollhouse proved itself pretty incompetent - not just the power supply issues, but the fact that Echo was able to break into the weapons, etc. Though it seemed to work out as planned for Sierra, Victor, and Mellie (November?).

Also, you say at the top that you got these your sophomore year of college, but later it sounds like you meant high school. I wouldn't normally point it out, but Shih Tzu already started the trend.

Abortions for some, tiny American flags for others.

Weird, I was just describing Lamb to the Slaughter to someone just a couple of days ago.

TV Club Classic, that is.

You know, I've heard that, but I don't know how you could view the rest of the episode as anything but a series finale. Like Sam is told he won't have Al with him anymore, his leaps are going to get harder, etc. I just figured the "he never made it home" thing was because they didn't want to show him die in someone

In all seriousness, I think I would have been happy with the ending it looked like they were setting up - Sam wakes up from his coma to discover that Annie is now chief of police or something and remembers him from 1973. While he's now 30 years younger than her, he still loves her and takes care of her in her old

18. Sam escapes from the Black Lodge, but which Sam?

I think the reference to Lisa Bonet was just to the quick flash of her when they did the "here's the entire series in three seconds" thing. I kept expecting to see her, too.

10. Lisa Bonet wakes up to find Sam in the shower and realizes it was all *her* dream.

@Automatic Jack - If I remember correctly, QL ended with Sam basically talking to God in the form of a bartender, who tells him he can either go home or continue leaping and making the world a better place. But, because of some other stuff Sam has done, he's going to lose Al (because Sam fixed Al's relationship with

7. Narrator says "Sam died on the way back to his home planet."

Disagree - I felt that the UK LOM pretty much established that he had been in a coma the whole time, he realized it, but decided he would rather live the dream (literally) than live his life in dreary old 2004. It's only when you bring in Ashes to Ashes that things get more complex.

So would have "Sam died on his way back to his home planet."

Strangely, a voiceover saying "Sam never made it home" would have worked for this show, too.

Much, much better.

Porkchop - apparently the show's creators actually approached ABC about getting a firm decision on cancellation so that they could end the show properly. So, while the writing may have been rushed, I think the entire last ep was filmed after the decision was made and the ending was not just tacked on to something

Pretty much my reaction. Three minutes from the end, I was like, "oh, but wasn't Lisa Bonet listed in the credits? They have to reveal this is just Sam going crazy again, right?" Except, no - apparently she was in the credits for just appearing in the middle of the very quick flashback of everything. So damn

Not sure how it works out with Claire being Psyche, since the whole point of the myth was that she couldn't know who her husband was and the act of finding out means he has to leave her. Here, Trevor has explicitly said, "I'm Cupid. Nice to meet you." I can see them trying to stretch it and say "well, he only has

ba - I think you've just scared a generation away from the dentist.
