Yeah, that's definitely the other ep. I was thinking about above. It's also from season 2, though? Where the writers just completely lazy that season?

Presumably because people would wonder if the pigeon was caught that morning. Some of the NYC pigeons are a little sickly looking.

Yeah, yeah, you've got to have shitloads of M-O-N-E-Y, money…

Liz Phair did the music?!?
Are you kidding me? And here I thought she couldn't sell out more than when she went on Bill Maher's show as a shill for the RIAA.

Very odd timing
I'm in the middle of reading the book right now. I had no idea the movie was being made. Guess I'll have to check it out once I'm done with the book.

What are the odds this show will use the Bowie song as the theme song? I'm going with 12%.

If only Eliza Dushku had an ounce of charisma, I would be excited about Dollhouse. Though, on the bright side, there is a 99% chance she will be killed by the end of the pilot, since it is brought to us by Joss Whedon.

Sorry, make that 17 with the Christmas special…

That's precisely what I was thinking - it is damn easy to outlive BBC shows. A show has to be truly godawful (e.g., the American Coupling) to fail to survive past the infinitesimal number of episodes Brit shows have. (Same goes for Worst Week - the original was 14 eps).

Yeah, I joked that the first X-Men movie was about the Jews and the holocaust. The second was about homosexuality. I think the third was a disability rights movie. Or maybe the third was about transgender people deciding to go for the operation. I'm not sure.

Oh, wait, was that late 90's pop song about David Duchovny by Krycek? That explains so much…

While I did not have a crush on Krycek, I definitely agree that they should have kept him around a bit more. There's no real reason he couldn't have been introduced earlier in the season (esp. since Scully has been mostly absent for many episodes), not told us whose side he was on until Ascension, or at least kept

Surprised no one has mentioned…
the obvious gay subtext to Buffy's conversation with Joyce. Joyce's reaction is a pretty classic reaction to a gay child ("have you tried not being the slayer?"), and it all ends up with her effectively throwing Buffy out of the house.

Sorry, make that 1997.

Don't remember if I knew about the Angel spin-off before season 2 ended, but definitely knew about it before season 3 started. I remember a conversation in the summer of 98 about it.

Two thoughts:

Yep - he also wrote Blood.

I think I would rather see
a Clone High movie. Hell, it could even be "Clone High Wars" or something.

Ahh… In that case, I retract my criticism. It's been a while since I watched the second season, so I didn't remember the episode order.

"Gladys from Reaper" will always be "Doris from Dead Like Me" to me… Actually, I'm pretty convinced the Reaper folks feel the same way, as I remember there being a reference in an episode to Gladys' sick cat, but I don't think it was named Murray…
