I agree with you entirely about not liking the idea of Smokey being entirely evil and Jacob being entirely good. I'm not totally convinced that that is the case, though tonight's episode did leave me feeling as if it is (unfortunately) more likely.
I don't think we can see it as black and white as jacob is for faith/destiny, and Smokey is for reason/freewill. Because I think Radaar is on to something there in regard to the world being full of ambiguity in terms of morals, values, beliefs, etc.
I've been having the same thinking as sepinwall in regard to what those flash-sideways are. I definitely believe that this alterna-reality comes about *after* the end of this war between Smokey and Jacob (which will also be the end of the series).
sigh, i guess i need to hit refresh before replying to threads.
I have no idea what character next week's episode revolves around, but so far season six has been following the same pattern as season 1 in regard to the order in which one of the characters is followed in each episode. If this pattern continues, then next week should be a Sun-centric episode, not a Sayid-centric…
I loved last week's episode
but this episode was beyond ridiculous. And maybe it was no more ridiculous than last week's; maybe I was stoned last week or something. But what it all comes down to is that all of these people are a bunch of assholes and morons. Every single one of them.
