It sure was. Had it gone down differently, it's one of those moments that could really scar a kid.

My spin the bottle story: 6th grade, and one of the prettiest girls in our class could also be a bitch.  For some reason, she said she wouldn't play if I was playing- that hurt of course, but it felt great when ALL the others playing (both guys and girls) told her that's too bad for her and she should just leave.  In

The Kristina running for mayor plotline REALLY bugs me.  I'm not exactly sure how it works, but who is paying for Heather and the rest of the staff? And can Kristina not see how much she's asking of the family- especially when Adam added in health stuff?  Relatedly, the biggest elephant in the room is going to be

You missed my point (or perhaps I didn't make it clear enough).  Kate and Pete shouldn't have to crawl out of Bert's bedroom by this point- he's like 7 years old at least.

I was disappointed in this after really enjoying the pilot.  I don't like when they change actors/characters from pilot- it's jarring and interferes with suspension of disbelief when you're just trying to get into a show.  And, I felt they changed Bert's character too- in the pilot he was more precocious (?) without

I'll have to check that panel out, thanks!

Kristina running for mayor is just plain stupid.  She's never held public office before- and it's totally unfair to her husband.  He helped get her through cancer, and now he's going to be working and taking care of basically the entire household alone while she runs a huge campaign?  Plus- where's the money coming

Well, along those lines- so students are having keg parties and throwing up while parents are there and students are in the process of moving in?

While I enjoyed the episode, I would have settled on a solid B rather than B+.  Some observations as to why:

Everything Walt said to Jessie while driving maniacally to the desert to rescue his money is arguably true.  While I almost certainly would feel differently were these real people, in this case my sympathies still lie almost 100% with Walt.

I love this site, but damn if it doesn't make me feel old. 6 years old in 1994? I watched SNICK in 1992 as a 21 year old drunk off my ass and depressed after a big break-up.  I remember some sort of variety show, and Ren and Stimpy, but Are You Afraid of the Dark didn't leave too much of an impression on me I guess.

I actually saw Serenity before ever seeing Firefly- I enjoyed the movie even without knowing the characters well, and then have re-watched it several times since becoming a fan of the Firefly series.  Did anyone else watch this backwards as well?

I'll watch movies with subtitles, but I can't help thinking that the original audiences are getting a totally different experience that way.  Hell, even dubbing (if done with extreme care) should be closer to what the movie maker intends- as the words automatically go into the conscious (and subconscious) mind.

except Jessie knew that is not what happened as soon as the hospital told him that Brock wasn't poisoned by ricin.

yes, and if Brock had been poisoned by ricin I would agree with you.  However, he wasn't. He was poisoned by a Lilly of the Valley that only Walt knows about. So why would Jessie be that suspicious and angry?

I think the writers made an illogical leap. Jessie in earlier season accused Walt of somehow stealing the ricin cigarette to poison Brock, remember? But later, the hospital staff told Jessie it wasnt ricin poisoning and the cigarette was found (Walt planted it).  So now we are supposed to believe that huell the

It seems to me that Walt can (or at least could have) explained things to hank to put himself in much better light while still telling much of truth:
1. Started meth cooking for money for family
2. Got in over head and got involved with Gus Fring
3. Walt and Dale were friends and fellow meth cooks… Gus had Dale killed

Growing up I invented a world where cars, trucks, planes, and other vehicles were alive. I separated them and had "Matchbox Land", "Hot-Wheels Land" and other lands with cheap no-name toys. I made up stories for years- wars, smash up derbys, olympics, you name it- I had a lot of fun (and a lot of imagination) and I

Janae's flashback made me dislike her more than I already did.  She threw away her future for no reason at all. Hell, the guy at the party even looked out for her and told her to leave! Yet she had to get mixed up with crime and rob a place.  Then she has the nerve to act as if the "system" is bringing her down.

So, as the town obviously gets the heat from the sun through the dome, wouldn't the heat from the MOAB missile still have fried much of the town, even if the shockwave itself couldn't get through? And, it strains credulity that the government wouldn't warn the residents of the town of their plan so that, i don't
