Thought that myself- then thought maybe they had old video game hooked to it or something.

I will admit that the Ava stuff was the weakest part of the first season to me, but even with that said- the retooling done for season 2 is overkill, and in the wrong direction (bringing Reagan home).

Nice way of saving face. The show was pretty good as it was, and was re-tooled only due to the network hoping for a ratings boost.  Unfortunately, I think the changes have mostly made the show worse: No more stay at home dad; now there's a wacky new character (brother-in-law); no contrasting workplace episodes for

I can almost guarantee that most of the people who truly hate this show have never watched it.  I tuned in the first episode prepared to go off on a tirade- and instead found that, other than the obviously screwed up dietary issues, the family seems to be happy.  The girls seem to like their mother (who returns the

I enjoyed the show, but while the kids wouldn't be interested in going through the sprinkler at their age, I find it difficult to believe that the family didn't use the sprinkler for fun quite often when the kids were younger.  Almost everyone does that, especially in homes without air conditioning.

Actually, it was Max's friend that had the best idea: Give him friggin Skittles with his lunch every day! Hell, make Skittles his lunch. He'll get sick of them and the problem is solved!

So- anyone care to hazard a guess as to whether Kristina's side of the family will be shown at all? She has cancer- don't you think she might want someone other than a Braverman to be involved?

I just read the actual interview. I think he came off better there then in this wrap-up.

What's up with everything centered on the Braverman side of the family? I know that's the show- but don't the spouses have their own families? Other than Jasmine's we haven't seen anyone else.  Where's Kristina's family? Where's Joel's?

I'm really not liking the re-tool.  It was a nice balance before, and while there have been stay-at-home dads on tv before, Arnett did a good job of not being one of those guys who didn't know how to raise a child.  Now, it's like a different show: mother is home with baby, and wacky new character (Reagan's brother).

There are only a handful of sitcoms that really stand the test of time, and this is one of them.  The other in my opinion is The Odd Couple (barring examination of clothing styles), Roseanne (seasons 2 through second to last), and strangely enough as it is among the oldest - The Honeymooners.
Good writing tells- and
