Was that the episode where Martin was feeling rather randy and made a remark involving gratuitous use of the word "butt"?

From the Monkees? Yeah, we all knew him.

Yeah, that's a good way of putting it.  My dad suffered with Parkinson's for years, so I'm happy to see the disease getting centre stage and hopeful that a higher profile will lead to more research and support for those afflicted, but I'm not too optimistic about this actually being a good show.

It's funny… most of my high school friends were really into hip hop at this time and I heard most of the albums mentioned here when I was hanging out with them, but i honestly can't remember anyone ever listening to 2pac.

See, I can kind of understand that with modern rock radio since they're current hit songs and people tune in wanting to hear the most recent Foo Fighters or whatever in the 30 minutes they're in the car.

Try listening to classic rock radio in Canada, where Canadian Content regulations dictate that 40% of the playlist has to be Canadian. That's fine when it's Neil Young or Rush (Shut up. I like Rush.) but it also means we get at least one Kim Mitchell or David Wilcox song per hour.

I'm thinking of one episode in particular where Toopy and Binoo became fairies and Toopy keeps going on about how fabulous it is that they're fairies now. The religious right would have a fucking field day with that one…

I don't know about cross-dressing, but Toopy and Binoo is a pretty fantastically gay show (to the extent that a cartoon for toddlers about a giant rat with a prolapsed anus and his miniature stuffed cat friend can be said to display sexual orientation).

I was going to comment on how a mall at Christmastime sounded absolutely hellish to me, but now that I think about it, I prefer that over hitting a bunch of big box stores. At least at the mall you only have to park once, so I guess it's still the lesser of two evils.
