    I think that's the confusion to which Scrawler was referring… I just recently learned that "Smarties" in the US are more like "Rockets" instead of the substandard candy shell surrounding substandard chocolate Smarties we have in Canada and the UK.

    Yeah, I've never really gotten that criticism (or rather, explanation for the show's unpopularity) either… I mean they're all terribly self-absorbed people but I've never found them unlikable or hateful in any way. Their awfulness has always seemed so endearing that they strike me more as loveable losers.
