Now that you mention it, I think the version I had was Betty Blowtorch… that sounds more familiar than Butt Trumpet (which I'm sure I would have remembered).

They're also playing on Sunday afternoon at Burlington's Sound of Music Festival. I don't know how they do it, but every year Burlington seems to book at least one cool international act that makes absolutely no sense with the rest of the lineup - last year it was the New York Dolls.

There's a line in "Asshole" that still makes me giggle like a 12 year old:

Men Without Hats are actually playing at a free outdoor festival in my town this weekend (with DEVO for chrissake!). I believe I'll be wandering down there to check them out.

I'm not able to listen to that at work, but was that the song where the singer goes off on a rant about pumpkin seeds ("Let me see those pumpkin seeds, bitch!"). I have that on an old tape somewhere and I'd completely forgotten it until now.

I always enjoyed "Take Stuff from Work"

I don't know about iPhones, but this dude got some action:

Yes.

Sounds good…. one "art" please.

At least Vancouver aren't sore losers. They would have rioted if the Canucks won too.

Just for the record, the Edmund Fitzgerald sank much closer to the south eastern corner of Superior, so MFSP is gonna have to remove it from his playlist.

Or bees in their mouths so when they bark they shoot bees at you?

I went to Subway today and I'm pretty sure my sandwich artist was an abstract expressionist.

If J and Lou don't still hate each other, I imagine they will again after being forced to play "Don't" every night.

Slight nitpick
I read the carnival thing differently - He says "like a carnival…" then George Michael gives him a nervous look, and he adds ".. without the half person on the skateboard…"
It was George Michael who had the bad experience at the carnival, not Michael.

You dick! Mr. Hand's been dead for years.

For a second I thought "Weirdly Mackenzie" was another Garbage Pail Kid and I was wondering why I couldn't remember that one.

I've always been terrible with fractions.

I like the magician pose with the little inset photo of his castmates being conjured out of thin air. Poof.

Yeah, I highly doubt he lived through the horror of the Challenger disaster like I did. I went home for lunch that day and "The Flintstones" was pre-empted for Challenger coverage. The goddamn Flintstones! You don't recover from something like that.
