That's what I'm thinking. Seems like every author's memoir I read says setting time aside to write is way more important than feeling "inspired".

I wish Nothing Hurts was twice as long.
Thanks! People older than me keep telling me that, and unlike if I were the person I was a couple years ago, that logic is actually able to be really soothing. I don't feel particularly inspired but I feel like I'll regret not using the time to create fiction of some sort. Just got to find the jumping off point.
Just watched Fury Road. I liked it a good amount, but maybe I'm just not an action film guy? I liked everything I saw but I kept craving deeper characterization. Also that scene where the guy was blinded made me really freaked out about being blinded.
In response to your below concerns about the book, Aziz is so dedicated to its sociological bent that the jokes (which are about 2/3 miss, 1/3 hit) are few and far between. It feels like a standup comedian was hired to read a psuedo-profound person study. The deductions remind me of that in Jon Ronson's "The Psycopath…
At one of the loneliest points in my very young and thus far unbelievably charmed life. That said, it was nice to have the free time to listen to the first three hours of the Aziz book today and also see Fury Road and Serpico for the first time.
We have each other.
Disqus is hell.
Kevin Spacey was in there.
Right?
I've been told by the characters so many times this season that Hannibal and Will's relationship is important and gripping that if Jack had just showed up, soundly beat Hannibal to a pulp, and then killed him by defenestration, it would have been a delightful surprise. I am not looking forward to the riddle-like,…
The grammar was much bad.
I am pretty fully in support of condensing these two novels into one season. Seasons 1 and 2 both had plots that could have been covered in 8 episodes but were padded out by the killer of the week. Going from Tome Wan to Mizumono to Europe to Red Dragon must be such a rollercoaster for people unfamiliar with the…
If they were aware it just seems like he would have been in a world of trouble already.
Should one really play Ludwig Van while also listening to a Lana Del Rey record?
My issue with the Tobias plot is that serial killers are SO common in Baltimore that two of them just bumped into each other through a mutual non-killer friend at the opera. Also it just makes me laugh that the two characters in that episode are named Franklin and Tobias. "It aint easy being white; it aint easy be [a]…
In Hannibal's reality, a bunch of new serial killers are ravaging Baltimore now that the main cast is focused on Hannibal.
I skipped the concert cellist episode when introducing my friend to Season 1. I think it's the series' most absurd installment.
Bella.
So the "Dr. Fell" name being on there is an error, right?
