I moved to Portland from New York in part because I'd had it with the cost of living there. Now, for the first time in my life, I'm not living paycheck to paycheck and constantly worrying about finances. On the other hand, I can't get a decent slice of pizza or have Chinese delivered at 3 AM. Everything's a trade-off.

The first one. I haven't looked at the results from this election, but last time we had a pot measure on the ballot, it passed easily in Multnomah County (where Portland is) and failed in every other county in the state.
