So if I worry about an earthquake, does that mean I'm doomed?
OK, that promo pic? Totally taken at my friends' house. You guys, they filmed one of the episodes there! I've sat on that couch! Many times!
Nice description. I also only have Jailbreak (and my current band covers the title tune)—if I wanted to expand my collection, what one record would be the next step?
He looks like he snorted the '70s.
I think the Parenthood comparisons are apt, although I think it has better writing than Switched at Birth (not to mention a better title) and a bigger pool of talented actors to draw on, but SaB is still a very good family drama that's more than worth your time. It's one of the few shows I DVR regularly.
Do you want to see them neckid?
HipsterDBag, I don't disagree with you, but as you've already admitted, it's a lost cause.
My parents (whom I am visiting for the holidays) apparently love the fuck out of The Chew. I'd never heard of it until I watched it with them today, and I sort of thought it was a local NYC show.
The Missoni stuff is gross, but I'm wholeheartedly behind the trend. Eventually a designer I actually like is going to do one of those lines.
I've also been on every antidepressant known to humankind (be careful if someone wants to try you on Wellbutrin; that shit made me psychotic), as well as through multiple types of therapy over many years. Nothing's worked. Now I have a consult with an ECT doc in January. Fun stuff.
The thing about "begs the question" is that the "incorrect" use makes way more sense than the "correct" one, which is why it's taken such a firm hold and is now standard. Also sort of true for "chomping at the bit".
"Barbara Cook…sat through the entire section devoted to Streep looking as if she'd
forgotten to bring her hemorrhoid donut."
You killed Ted, you medieval dickweed!
I really like the Magoo one too. The holy trinity of Christmas specials for me was always Charlie Brown, the Grinch, and Magoo.
Despite what a strange character Mr. Magoo is, he really works as Scrooge, and the writers managed to significantly condense the story while still hitting all of the important beats. Plus,…
I think the Patrick Stewart version might be the definitive one for me. Plus, it has McNulty as Fred.
I liked Grammar Vichy. Enough not to point out the punctuation issues in that comment.
Your comment is ruined by the fact that, in Standard American English, "caucus" is pronounced with a mid back rounded vowel, while "cock" is pronounced with a low back unrounded vowel.
Your comment is ruined by the extraneous comma.
Mmmm, chiaroscuro boobies.
