I'd like one too, and I could just take my parents.  But then I'd need to update my stereo setup from built-in iMac speakers/cheap little boombox in the kitchen to anything else.

Weekend is fantastic. Lots of accurate depictions of a young, intense, yet ultimately fleeting relationship, though, if that bothers you.

[pouts] But I don't have a record player!!

I wouldn't say I was expecting Kaufmanesque mindfuckery, I didn't know who he was at the time, but I was expecting something unexpectedly awesome.  And a restaurant of Malkoviches was certainly unexpected.

Agreed. Something Shearwater and the new Beach House will now be purchased this afternoon.

I'm gonna ride my bike straight over to the record store after work and purchase this on CD.  Not that it'll br cheaper than downloading, but sometimes I still like to have a small sense of history with things I like.  I don't remember too many of those great afternoons while I watched the Amazon Downloader run it's

it turns into Robotech.  therefore, you've been backdoor anime'd.

No, you're right.  It's funny to see Cougar Town and then read a serious review about adult relationships and the varied natures of comedy.  Believe me, I didn't watch the show until 2/3 of the way through the first season due to the title.  However, it's a pretty great show.

Panel 2: A wee brown thing crawls into his loafer.  Meanwhile, Annie's reading him a list of all the reasons he's been wrong (I'm just glad it's not me)
Panel 3: By the end of supper he's been hauled off to the hospital, no one remembers why he showed up in the

I agree.  More people like Campbell making comics and I'd get back to reading more comics.

I'm just glad it's finally on Skinemax.  Classic late night Malick.

He's more just a grumpy old man, based on his blog and various books about his more recent life, he's pretty self-aware of this fact. I would say he's really just a guy that has strong opinions about things and is willing to argue for them.  I met him once at a book reading, he was quite pleasant and patient with my

New Girl > Office

I am currently having the exact same experience.  Except I guess I watched Last Waltz Sunday night.  Though I did watch the Modern Family episode The Last Walt Saturday night.  So that must count for something…

I thought everyone just watched tv on the internet now.  All they show there is the endless variety of Geico commercials.

I like JR almost as much.  But it's the prose in Recognitions that gets me every time.  I'll pick it up just to read a sentence I like, or a paragraph, and an hour and a half later I've forgotten about doing anything else.
