Vonnegut
I just read Slaughterhouse-Five for the first time a couple weeks ago. I liked it pretty good but I couldn't help but think how much it would've blown my mind if I'd read it when I was 15 or 16 (I'm currently 30).

Thanks
for the mammaries.

A couple years ago Eddie Campbell was doing page to script comparisons of From Hell on his blog. Those were pretty fun.

Dark Star
Wasn't Carpenter's 'Dark Star' basically the same premise? A couple guys in a spaceship, floating around blowing up planets and such? Probably less Space Surfing and beachball animals and bombs learning the meaning of life. But still. . .

Southland
Southland's alright, Nathan. It looks really nice and they swear a lot (though bleeped- it's progress, America). It's a little melodramatic overall, but it's alright. Did I mention that it's got a nice visual style? Interesting handheld camera work in a rich high-contrast digital. If I had a TV that was

Take THAT, Michael Cera! All wearing clothes, being in movies.

He takes off his jacket at home
I often have no one to be cool for when I get home, and I never take off my jacket.

You see bad dialogue, I only see great minimalist poetry. Questions of identity, eternal recurrence, and what not.

I was hoping for a nice long, intricately choreographed steadicam shot.

I went to see the Roller Derby in Chicago a while ago. Man that was lame. It sounds tough, but it's really a bunch of girls in ripped fishnets skating in circles for a while. Someone fell down and hurt their ankle and the whole thing stopped for like 10 minutes. Not a single bloody nose all night. Lame, I say.

I was listening to the sample track while reading this. I think that's pretty neat.

When visiting lovely southeastern PA, visit the Brandywine Museum of Art. You're sure to find some great work there by whichever Wyeth was your favorite. In fact, pretty much anywhere in that area is going to have some framed drawing or something on its walls, there's a great N.C. illustration from Moby Dick in a

He was always my favorite artist on Wolverine, followed by Adam Kubert.

word up

Of course, I mean "You" not "You're", don't I.

Batdance
"The rich. You're know why they're so weird? Because they can afford to be."

Dog
Hopefully, he'll remind Hendrix to pick up his dog.

Spawn
You guys remember when Spawn skipped from issue 19 to issue 21? It's very similar to what happened here. What a confusing mess! And by that I mean Spawn. Remember? Spawn?

Early Bird Special
I voted this morning before work in order to beat the lines. There were no lines and now i've wasted the last hour here. On the plus side, turns out there's a lot of cute girls in my neighborhood that also like to vote early in the morning.

Geez. It's getting that a guy can't drop a Cremaster reference these days.
