Agreed. I thought that was pretty odd and off base.

I refuse to watch movies about animals so i have no idea.

I'm pretty sure every kind of erotica exists out there on the internet.

Yeah, I've done that too.

Are we still talking about the oatcakes?

Perhaps for a light snack after.

Obviously there are no funny Asian people.

In my head I read that to Mary Poppins tune, In the most delightful way!

Yep, I remember the "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough" sketch that turned into a song and dance routine.

Yeah, that's pretty weak.

My biggest issue with these books is that it is super dangerous to google anything. I googled a character because I couldn't remember who the hell he was and when he had been introduced and ended up finding out that two other characters died later in the book I was reading. Blerg!

I can use bookmarks on my reader, but how am I supposed to know that I should bookmark a character referenced for 1 sentence 2 books ago. It just isn't the same as holding the book in your hands.

I started reading it and got distracted by something else (I'm a multiple books at one time girl). It didn't start off with enough of a bang to hook me. I do have every intention of going back to it at some point.

I read the whole series in about 4 days. I thought the first book was the best but I don't think anyone needs to feel embarrassed reading these. Hell, we shouldn't be embarrassed to be reading any books. We are reading!

This brings up an interesting issue I have with ebooks, especially as it relates to the Song of Fire and Ice series. If I was reading a hard copy book I would often flip back to check something out (this is inevitable in this series). I struggle with my ebook because it's a pain to try to search electronically for a

Dad is Fat was a fun audio read. It kept me chuckling (and probably looking like an idiot to people driving by). I've read Bossypants (non-audio). Right now I'm listening to Kitchen Confidential, which is good but I think comedy works the best for me.

Book 4 was a bit of a slog to get through but I'm finding this one to be much faster paced. That said, I often find myself nervous to continue reading because I'm afraid of what is going to happen to characters. George does not have a problem killing the characters you love.

It's categorized as a YA novel but it skews older. The author, Kresely Cole, has a pretty steamy paranormal romance series that I'm also a fan of, which is how I stumbled upon this.

I can't be the only one who reads easily digestible fluffy stuff. So in full disclosure, I also just finished book two of the Arcana Chronicles which is a post apocalyptic, semi-romance, semi-fantasy, girl with special powers book. It was pretty enjoyable.

I like to listen to audiobooks when I take my puppy out on walks. I tend to go for the comedic titles when I'm listening as opposed to reading (my mind tends to wander). Anyone do audiobooks and have any suggestions?
