Resolution of the Cabin Problem
Now that we have seen that the Smoke Monster is separate from the body of MIB, we can formulate a theory that allows for the solving of all the confusing who's in the cabin bits.
Epitaph Island?
This episode should have really been shown at a different time, like even as a crazy out-of-nowhere shocking Season 6 opener. Or even, better, put it as the final episode of Season 5 a la Epitaph One in Dollhouse, where the unexpected time jump was mindblowingly cool. Here, we're at such a crucial and…
Disney owns ABC. Break into headquarters and demand a personal copy to view. Or, uh, just DVR it.
Only occurrence of Smokey in the rain was in the episode where Kate and Juliet were handcuffed together. (I know, it ruined my theory too).
Good point. Maybe Smokey realized it would be hard for him to find a reason to get off the plane while everyone else was on it with a bomb? But that assumes that Smokey doesn't want to be blown up.
AV Club doesn't have the A+ grade. (The CYE one was kinda a joke).
I approve of continuing the gooey octopus meme.
I agree. I still don't know what Pub-Rock as a genre is, just some of the bands that comprise it.
I think the highest number is 18 actually.
I don't know, wouldn't an alterna-character who was transported to the main timeline be freaking out about what's going on?
^^ I like that idea. Nice catch.
@WWOFTBBNR:
Agreed about the Boone/Shannon thing. Well…maybe just the Boone part, I could never stand Shannon.
I'm going to be upset if Christian really WAS Flocke/MIB this whole time. I feel like there's going to be some continuity errors when rewatching if that's true.
Flocke better have been lying about impersonating Christian. Otherwise I'll be up all night trying to figure out how Christian popped up in Dharmaville when Flocke was on Hydra (since he can't smoke across the water) and how Christian appeared to Jack in the flashforward.
After rewatching S1-S5 during this one, I've been converted to a Jack fan as well. I found his story arc much more meaningful the second time around and really hope he'll get a happy ending.
Christian is MIB?
I don't think so. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but it looked to me as if Flocke had a little pause before saying that, like he's lying. If he was impersonating Christian, then there seem to be some annoying continuity errors that will bug me forever (see: Christian's appearance in D-ville while…
Locke's Stick
Seeing Not Locke whittling away at that stick….makes you wonder if the plan they had for Eko way back may have been the role of Smokey-possessed body…
Yes, I'd like to see how Eloise knew all the info about Des in Flashes Before Your Eyes.
