I went in with tempered expectations, since this has gotten mediocre reviews in other places, but I gotta say that you were right on the money Tasha. I really enjoyed this, thought the plotting was clever, and found all the world-building to be superb. So, great review is what I'm sayin'

Considering Disney Channel cares so little about Gravity Falls that they're willing to have a 2 month gap in episode airing, I really don't think anyone there ever thought about it.

I wasn't much of a fan of the extended Chicago call either. I get that they were going for some stereotypical Chicagoan jokes, but their "accents" were terrible imitations. I'll stick to Bill Swerski's Superfans when I need my Chicago mocking, thank you.
