Fret not, Sarah. I personally consider The Mummy to be among the greatest action films of the 90s, and will always stop to watch it when flipping through channels. The atmosphere is remarkably effective, and you could remove the introductory narration and find yourself a surprisingly well constructed, compelling

I liked bits and pieces of it, but I never understood the hype for it either. For some reason, I'm compelled to compare it with Chungking Express, a film I adore absolutely.
