For some reason, I was the only one in my class in middle school who enjoyed Johnny Tremain. Everybody else I knew thought it was too much of a downer.

Yeah, I suppose you could call them hit or miss after that, though I felt like the first three books alone constituted a pretty solid trilogy of sorts.

I concur with Todd's praise of Watership Down completely. That and the Redwall series defined my middle school years; not even the Harry Potter series left as strong an impression. Of course, there was also the Animorphs series, which I pretty much stuck with to the very end, which I think was around the same time.

It was years before I finally got that joke. Finally, one day my family was driving into town, and it just popped into my head, finally making sense. Naturally, it was a little bit before I could explain my impromptu hysterics to my parents.

Spending four entire paragraphs on plot summary seems a bit excessive, especially considering how many of your comments felt more appropriate for the "Stray Observations" section. The insights near the end were intriguing, and I would have liked to have seen the same appraising eye throughout the review, or at least

And so season 4 continues to up the ante on gross-out humor: watching candy people flood Jake's eye-sockets may be one of the most unsettling things I've seen on this show, if only for how out-of-nowhere it was (the inside-out bird in Freak City was sort of similar in this regard).

That moment works better in Memory of a Memory, but it's a pretty fantastic callback.

I've only managed to make it through the fourth episode, which I felt really paled in comparison to "The Witch." I'll definitely be continuing with the series, but I think I need to finish Doctor Who first.

So what does everyone reckon: should we throw down all the quotes we can in our attempt to make the record, or should we not compromise the integrity of our discussions for something so trivial?

That's right… I'm a gay robot.
