I imagine that after GoT is over, they will be able to go into any TV/movie direction they want, lucky bastards.

Dennis could seduce Mac in a heartbeat. Now if they could only find a good enough reason for Dennis to actually want to do that, it might make for a great episode.

I'm glad they didn't go the rout of Charlie actually becoming smarter, but I have to admit I enjoy the idea of the gang giving him a concussion in order to return him to his '"dumb" normal self, seems like a very Gang-appropriate way to return balance to their sick little ecosystem.

And to be fair, she was talking about the nail stuff in the context of opening a business, and I think it's normal to obsess over even the most trivial things when one goes through that process. Any maybe she'd rather fill the conversation with her own blather than actually have to listen to Charlie talk.

It's almost like most of America is monolingual or something! At least the crackers that usually watch this show.

I've always seen Charlie not as naturally stupid so much as someone with maybe a severe learning disorder and/or just brain-damaged from all the inhalants and drinking over the years. He's been a decent schemer in the past and his musical abilities suggest some sort of savant-like qualities. The truly, painfully…

Dennis might be less tolerant of Mac's little gay "outbursts" if he weren't so reliant upon Mac to help him maintain his position of authority over Dee and Charlie. Dennis is the Golden God of Paddys and Mac is his right hand man, his "muscle" for better and for worse.

I'm really glad the guys seem intent on keeping Mac's repressed gayness around as a character trait, gifting us with these tiny, (mostly) subtle moments that don't ever take away from the actual plot of the episode. They've tried various things with Mac in the past but this one seems to really work for him.

With one caveat, "The Gang Tries Desperately to Get an Award" is a stone cold classic.

Season 3 is when the show really figured out its dynamic and it's been more or less smooth sailing ever since.

You sir are correct, every season has its pure gold and I will personally jam my thumbs into the eye sockets of anyone that says different!

Eh, I don't think anything this season, good as it is, has risen to the brilliance of "The Gang Gives Frank an Intervention" or "CharDee MacDennis: The Game of Games" or "Sweet Dee Gets Audited"

That's why he's always hiding the pens in their apartment…

Eh, I laughed enough to consider it worthy of my time, and it is far, far from the worst stand-up on Netflix, you must have not done a very thorough search.

I always imagined that a dartboard and blindfold were somehow involved. And cocaine.

Not a good sign that Parks and Rec is already outperforming it, though maybe Parks will be rewarded with a truncated 7th season like 30 Rock was.

I freakin' love their trash man song!

The pacing of the episode was a bit languid but I dare say it was one of the funniest episodes so far this season, lots of solid jokes.

I find the end of "Mac and Charlie: White Trash" to be strangely sweet as well. I appreciate that this show keeps its genuinely sweet moments to a minimum though.

Yeah I think folks are taking him way too seriously, I just want Season 5 to start already.
