@avclub-0e6a669b48526fa27d467e0a9335df4a:disqus It was California's Film and Tax Credit, which as @avclub-7b35a1122309e7451c5060ae86700961:disqus  points out, doesn't seem to have helped at all.

Bunheads just got a whole heap of money from the state of California, so keep on hoping!

Man, everything about that last ten minutes was designed to punch me in the gut. Sweeping music, Gene/Bolls sadness, that long shot of Gene in his office, then Heroes kicking in? I don't think I've seen a finale be so satisfying while basically saying "Yeah, no, there's not really a happy ending here".

Actual tears at the series finale. Just… so good.

@avclub-7aee1b75b527e215f31e20a5c4e7a768:disqus And I for one agree completely.

Man, if a B means he really didn't like it then sign me up for HIS classes.

Something something UTI.

Agreed. There'll be a reset - maybe not complete (Lily might go to Rome alone for a month or two, for instance), but more likely they'll meet in passing and keep bumping into each other and the series with end with them finally agreeing to go on a date (I mean, that one episode about the 3 day thing was the one where

Random question: Don't Trust The B—- is supposed to be put up online to stream sometime in the next week or so. Will the AV Club cover them to round out the rest of the series?

I dunno about not being able to realistically win nationals. There's a decent story to be told about a group standing in the shadow of the school's former club trying to prove that they aren't just an imitation while they're all dealing with their own graduations. It'd be a decent lead in to making New York the

I'm very inclined to agree with this, if only because part of me wants Unique in a Cassandra July dance class. It's a potential scene I'd play on loop for a week.

The Brittana shippers are the worst, in my opinion. I can handle some straight girls fetishing gay men through shipping, even if it has turned to this bizarre "BUT WHERE'S BLAINE I ONLY WATCH THIS SHOW FOR BLAINE THIS SUCKS" stuff of late, but the sheer organised terror that is big chunks of the Britt/San people give

Well yeah, me too, but the show's always been surprisingly pandering to its fandoms and god knows both I and Ryan Murphy are terrified of the Brittany/Santana shippers.

I think Brandon hit the nail on the head in his Observations: the competition were good on a technical level, but very forgettable. New Directions basically won through home-court advantage and not being COMPLETELY forgettable.

It seems like they're leaving the door open re: Brittany through the Santana stuff. I'd be sad if she didn't come back, but I can see her spending season 5 as the new Quinn while Heather Morris raises her kid and makes up her mind.

Also, Brandon, I dunno if you know but Cory Monteith was in rehab for the filming of everything post-Sweet Dreams. There was definitely a missing explanation for Finn's absence, but the man himself had a pretty good reason.

I thoroughly enjoyed this season (more than the last, for what it's worth), although I definitely think the weight of the show's own inevitability has weighed down this final stretch. There's a lot of fleshing out of the new recruits going on, given that they're probably on the way out (see above comment for why).

They still have Nationals, so clearly the first part of the next season has to be that… except Ryan Murphy's stated that the two-locations thing can only go on for so long ( http://www.hollywoodreporte… ). It's looking very likely that come Christmas, there'll be no more Lima. With the show's two-season renewal, I

So uh I started writing a comment and forty minutes later I got here to the point where I felt it'd be douchey to actually post that number of words as an actual comment on the internet so for those vaguely interested, it's all over here where you can shake your head appropriately: http://theorypop.tumblr.com…
