@avclub-116dc4b9cd1faf32bc3bb9d47be29a22:disqus :  I will go along with your summary of Jobs' role.  I am not an "Apple Hata,"  if Apple tech works for you, good on ya.  I just get tired of people like the ABC reporter who called Jobs a "modern day Da Vinci."

How do you make a horcrux?

Rene Auberjonois:  The fighting parson from "The Patriot.."  Okay, it was a crappy movie, but Rene was pretty good at his role.

You're totally right, Cookie Monster, but while we should note his impact, we should not be talking as though he "personally invented" all those things; the mass media is wetting themselves over Jobs as though the Computer Revolution sprung out of his head.

Exactly.  Jobs was an important figure because was a brilliant salesman and promoter.  Give him credit for that, but stop talking like he personally invented the PC, windowing, smart phones, and tablet computers.  He did not.

I guess in some ways Jobs was an important figure, although his genius was not so much in inventing technology but in marketing it.  He was a master promoter, and the greatest product he promoted was himself.  We still have to acknowledge him as a historical "change agent," but some of these fawning people on TV make

I think I'll wait to comment again when there is an episode that I actually want to rewatch.  I saw very little in these two episodes that made me want to watch them again.

You're welcome!

I love Chinese food, but on T-day I'd rather have turkey, cornbread dressing, green bean casserole, and pecan pie.

I'm part Irish, part Shawnee… Would that be Iri-nee?

Should the habanero be called a "luciferous vegetable"?

Yeah, dang it, that's always the robot I got.  The wimp with the glass jaw.  (Technically, a plastic jaw, but… you know what I mean.)

Aw, come on Doc!  LAW & ORDER: SELF-RIGHTEOUS ANTI-CONSTITUTIONAL COPS UNIT is a great show!  It's so much fun to watch the cops beat up the defendants!  (OK, I'm kidding.  I don't watch cop shows.)

Spot is one of the few truly transgender characters in the Star Trek universe.

Sometimes it's fun to go retro TOS, and watch a couple of guys punch each other in the face.

Then Worf remembers all the times Data has kicked his ass… and we see him stroking Spot, saying, "You are a good cat.  You are a pretty cat.  (Ah-choo)".

"Worf, if you don't learn to pick me up the right way, your new Klingon name is going to be Claude Balls."

I'm always up for Sirtis.
Um… let me rephrase that…

"You shore do have a purty pair o' pointed ears!"

"Paddle faster, Mr. Paris, I hear banjo music!"
