And a serious overacting problem. not sure why the reviewer thinks highly of her performance. Every physical reaction and facial expression look like something out of a telenovela. I like the fish out of water character, but it is a jarring contrast to Taylor.

Saw the movie. Actually, the comedy spin on the trailer is no too far off. the film has some very funny moments. It is pretty serious, also, in showing how two well meaning people can be unintentionally cruel through neglect.

Agree completely. Time after time, Walt has plucked out a loose thread only to have another one pop out. I do think it will be a tiny detail that undoes him.

If the reviewer despises Walt, it is richly deserved. The only thing to admire him for is his cleverness, at this point. Saying Skyler's reaction to Walt is completely unjustified, and that Walt should dump her, which is essentially what you said, does sound sexist.
