I thought it was a perfectly enjoyable Star Wars heist movie, that was hurt by all of the fanservice/references/attempts to draw connections between it and the original trilogy.

Some of the actors, Emilia Clarke in particular, we’re having a rough time with L&M because they were unable to really articulate to her what the hell she was supposed to be playing. So she was definitely relieved by the changing of the guard. Woody, however, (a far more seasoned actor who probably needed much less

Being forced to remember that Han Solo naming scene is like ripping open an old wound that never completely healed. Who could possibly care why Han Solo was named “Han Solo”? What fans were serviced in learning that, instead of happening to have a cool surname that happened to thematically resonate with the character,

Given that the MCU managed to make 23 films into a cohesive enough arc and to ever increasing success while Star Wars couldn’t manage that for even 3 films in a row is both a big plus for Kevin Feige while being quite damning for the people supposed to have been steering Star Wars.

The success of the Mandalorian should tell you that most of the fans want the Skywalker saga to continue.”

I’m a Star Wars heretic…. I love the IP, but most of the movies are garbage. I’d say that Solo, while not breaking any new ground, is better than any of the prequels, any of the sequels (Ep. 7-9), better than Return if the Jedi.  I’d only put it behind New Hope, ESB, and Rogue One.  I’m still not saying it’s a great

Yeah but since they’d let Lord and Miller get as far as they did without noticing there was something they didn’t like for whatever reason, that’s really a failure of oversight on their part and at that point, they would have been better off letting them finish at that point.

The Last Jedi was pretty drama free, at least the making of it. The reaction, not so much.

Grogu is still emblematic of what’s wrong with modern Star Wars, it’s all rooted in nostalgia.

Count me as one who loved Solo. Yes, it could’ve been better had it had a singular vision but it was still really fun. It’s not Lord and Miller’s fault per say but if Disney wanted Solo to turn out the way it did, they should’ve never hired L&M. That’s not their style. I’m sure it was much more jokey and Kathleen

I’ve got a lot of issues with Solo, but I’ll just say this: The director swap-out deprived us of seeing Michael K. Williams play a Star Wars villain and I will never forget that.

As hard as it is to imagine, there was a time when many people were very excited about Star Wars.

The recurring flaw in the Star Wars universe is the gatekeepers continue trying to double-down on things and ideas that have already succeeded instead of attempting to break new ground. Even when they stumble into something new and good like “The Mandalorian,” their next move with “The Book of Boba Fett” is conceived

I'm pretty sure that The Force Awakens is the only Disney Star Wars movie to not fire the director at some point in the process. The mismanagement has been terrible to watch and so have almost all the movies.

He probably wasn’t forklift certified.

He really looks like Florida man as well. I bet he wears sunglasses indoors.

Well, we always need new MST3K fodder.

Now playing

They should have just turned this Mr. Show sketch into a movie

Baby, if you ever wondered, wondered whatever became of them....they lived on the air in Cincinnati...Cincinnati WKRP.

Booger!
