My first thought when reading this; but, frankly, not the first time I’ve contemplated how prophetic that novel’s been lately.

“...people for whom the outcome can’t ever possibly be life or death, and therefore their rooting attempts seem forced and lame.”

What?!? He lied to us!

JR Blyat

So a guy giving you a cheerful greeting is...bad?

Seeing “Cera’s rep had no comment when asked about this.” right after was pretty funny. The PR version of “I don’t know her.”

What’s more likely is that hundreds, if not thousands, of Solara coupes have passed in front of your eyes; it’s just that your brain did not have the cognitive language available to process something so bland. Sorta like how the Greeks didn’t know how to describe the color blue.

Who the hell cast Drew Magary in a show?

“Allow me to introduce my son, Fermi Feynman Oppenheimer.”

“So what does that make us?”

Heather. She rules!

Good luck, dude. It was like $35/bottle when I looked a couple weeks ago.

That was my take as well.

And, you could easily see Tony doing the same thing a few years ago.

There’s also the twins voiced by the Silverman sisters who I always took as an homage to Walter & Perry.

Yeah, “one-and-done Comedy Central series” isn’t exactly a rare occurrence.

“Admittedly, it’s tough to read Failure Is An Option without hearing Benjamin’s signature voice in your head, good-naturedly recounting everything that unfolds.”
