Maybe it was a bad night. I saw that same MBV/Dinosaur Jr. tour in Trenton, New Jersey (Where my City Gardens people at?!?!?) and it either saved or ruined my life. Still trying to figure out which.

Ok, well I didn't have a problem understanding the majority of the words and I found this album to be quite wonderful. Am I doing it wrong?
Do it. Saw them open for Trail of Dead 10 years ago. Small venue. They blew the doors out.
I want to meet the guy at Tuf Enuf who's been sitting in a room for 25 years listening to "The New Style" on loop and trying to figure out if it's really the break from "Drop the Bomb."
In all fairness to Sonic Youth, NYC Ghosts & Flowers was recorded after ALL of their gear was stolen while they were on tour. Considering how important, and irreplaceable, their gear was to their sound (so many of those guitars had been manipulated/warped/broken in order to produce very specific tones and tunings)…

Like Ashton Kutcher,
The hummingbird can't quite land
On that blade of grass.
This is going to sound crazy, but I'm beginning to think
that Ashton Kutcher isn't very bright.
I was going to leave a comment chastising everyone complaining that this isn't a Spotify playlist by pointing out that building it in Spotify yourself would only take like two minutes, but I decided it would be easier to just build the damn playlist myself.
"I'm Writing A Novel" is the best Randy Newman song I've heard in years.
"Walter Newell is Earth’s mightiest oceanographer."
I always liked his records as J. Tillman, but this….wow I was not prepared for this. I've been listening to the two preview tracks over and over for weeks now; thanks for streaming the whole album.
They asked dead Keith Moon to perform but not dead John Entwistle? Bass players never get any respect.
If the technology invested in this means that the first round of practical, fully functioning androids all look and act like Tupac, then I'm ok with this.
When I was in my 20's, my boss at the time (who was in his 60's) saw me reading Swann's Way and asked me what I thought. I told him I couldn't really get into it and was about to give up on it. "Oh, well, Proust's not for you anyway" he said. "You can't read Proust until you're at least 30 because until then you…
Yeah, that's great! I always thought that album was crazy underrated. I still think the first track and the last track are the most emotionally gripping songs they ever recorded.
I did the same thing in my twenties. Just took a year to read everything he had ever written. I still don't understand why people think 100 Years of Solitude is the best thing he's ever written instead of Love in the Time of Cholera or Autumn of the Patriarch. I've re-read all three since then and while I like…
"People of Los Angeles: This is my jammy jam" is the new "Hello Cleveland!"
